A model of H.I.R.O from Good Kid's Wall music video!

The provided .zip files include all parts for the plain and smiley versions, so you don't have to pick them out. All individual files provided in the recommended print orientation. Only the hand and body require tree supports on buildplate only. The body can print without supports if oriented vertically, but the layer lines give off a different finish. The models in the pictures were printed from matte (white) and regular (gray) PLA at 0.12 mm layer heights on an X1C.

There are three bodies to choose from:

  • hiro_gk_body_PLAIN - No printed text or face to customize completely however you want

  • hiro_gk_body_TEXTonly - Printed text but no face

  • hiro_gk_body_TEXTwithSMILEY - Printed text and smiley face :D

Additional files provided include:

  • hiro_gk_button_PLAIN: No arrows on the button if you want to paint them on/sticker them yourself

  • hiro_gk_leg: Use for a standing pose

  • hiro_gk_legSitting: Use for a sitting pose, the feet press into the short tabs

Recommended Build Tips:

  1. I designed clearances from 0.2 - 0.3 mm on most parts, so they should be a little tight when assembling. Depending on your printer, some sanding or glue may be needed to get them to fit right

  2. I recommend gluing the propeller and antenna stem to the body since it's so small

  3. The arm slots have a slight overhang on the inside, so take some time when clipping in the arms for the first time. You may have to carefully scrape the top side with a hobby knife to get it smooth. There should be a little friction so it's posable, but floppy/loose arms are cute too.

  4. The buttons should press in with a little force and are not meant to be removed after assembly. Take care to put them in the correct orientation!

  5. See the last image for how the parts are assembled.

If you print one and/or paint one, I'd love to see them! Hope you enjoy :D
