This frame was designed to have removable arms, this enables easy transport, while taking less then 60s to assemble without any tools!
You can even use this feature to quickly swap parts, like having mutiple difference central body with different payload/functionally, and use the same set of motors for both. Or use the same body with difference set of arms with bigger motors/propellers to fit you lifting need!
The ESC are located in the body, while 4 MT60 connectors make the seamless connection to the arms and motors.
— GENERAL OVERVIEW —
Why? : I made this frame as I couldn't find any off the shelves ones that corresponded to my need while being easy to travel with it. It's design was made to have a lot of space for add-ons while being easier to carry than a 7" long-range quad (Yes literally)
Uses case example : I personally installed a Raspberry Pi to try out some 5G control link. But it could be used for anything.
What to expect : While I am proud of this design, it is still a prototype, A LOT of weight can be save, I Used 3mm carbon fiber plates, and this is overkill. I would recommend going for 2mm but this isn't tested. I also have a hard time finding time to test it more, but I haven't had any issue of wear from the connections, the arms stayed aligned well, and doesn't flex much while bending it. For a modular design, it is still a tank
Cost : This frame costed about ~130$ to make with CNCDrone91 (in France)
My Setup : This isn't a recommendation, but I personally used :

* The 3mm Top/Bottom is overkill. I recommend less to save money and weight, the change to the STEP printed parts are minor, you can message me to change it as you want, or do it yourself

-> Connectors
You will also need 4x set of MT60 connectors. Here an example on amazon : https://a.co/d/0gP13EQi

Those connectors will be glued to the printed part, You can use any type of CA glue for this task.
