Pixelsnap Compatible Phone Stand

This is a model designed to securely hold a Pixelsnap charger and your Qi2 phone. I designed this because I like the Pixelsnap charger, but the cost of the stand isn't justifiable in my mind since I have CAD skills and a 3D printer.

About the Design

This was designed to be printed without supports. Because it's designed to be printed without supports, it will hold your phone at a 45° angle. Whether or not that's comfortable to you is... ultimately up to you. I don't personally use my phone on the stand, but I like that I can mount my phone up and have it not take up as much space on my night stand.

How to Print

I printed this at 0.2mm layer height. The overall print has 15% grid infill. For the base, I recommend using height range modifier and setting the infill to 80% or higher to give some stability to the overall stand. If you use a lower infill in the base, you'll need to use something to help weigh it down.

To do this properly in Prusaslicer, right-click on the model and click "height range modifier." Click on the range item in the pane to the right. Set "Start at height" to 0, "Stop at height" to 8, and "Layer height" to 0.2mm. Click the "Infill" item below and set it to 80% infill.

This prints in about 3 hours and 40 mins on a Prusa Mini+ with input shaping at 80% infill for the base and 15% for the rest. Without the base infill increase, it's a little over 3 hours.

Additional Piece: Pixelsnap Charger Base

I'm providing an STL file (sorry I forgor to export the STEP file properly, but if people find it important, I can work to get the STEP file for this piece) for remix/modification so that you can adapt the same mount for your own models/purposes. This base could easily be mounted to a wall if you're so inclined as Qi2 magnets are pretty dang strong.

How It Was Made

This was made with FreeCAD 1.1.1. A STEP file is provided for the purpose of easier modification/remixing in your CAD software of choice.
