If you own the ISDT 608PD charger, you probably know the struggle: the tiny stock fan has an incredibly annoying, high-pitched whine. It bothered me a lot, so I designed this hack to fix it.

  • Disassembly: Please note that the original back cover of the charger is glued from the factory. A plastic prying tool or guitar pick won't cut it – you will need to use a sharp knife to carefully pry it open along the seam and unglue it. Be extra careful not to damage the internal electronics or cut yourself.

  • Fan Replacement: To replace the fan, you need to snip the wires of the old stock fan and solder the new one in place.

  • Installation (TPU Pro-Tip): If you print the new cover from TPU, I highly recommend gluing it to the charger body using superglue (cyanoacrylate). The combination of superglue and TPU works perfectly – it holds firmly in place for daily use, but since superglue doesn't bond permanently to flexible TPU, it holds "just right". If you need to service the charger again in the future, you can carefully pry it apart and unglue it without destroying the part.

This modification allows you to replace the small, noisy original fan with a larger one. The result is a massive noise reduction—completely getting rid of that awful squealing sound—while keeping the charger perfectly cool.
