Sometimes, positioning the sensors for your Meross MSG100 is difficult. In my case, the magnet was too far from the reed switch. This led to the system thinking the door was always open. I didn't want to mess around with brackets, so I made this replacement for the included magnet:

  • Comes in multiple lengths, so you can cater it to your situation: 55mm, 50mm, 45mm, 40mm, 35mm, 30mm

  • Designed for 10x3mm magnets

  • Comes with built-in supports. Twist and pull with needle nose pliers to remove

  • Dimples provide extra grip for you N52 lovers

  • 0.2mm layers in PETG recommended

Tips:

  • Magnets are press fit, so you shouldn't need glue. If you decide to remove them, insert a 3mm hex key into the holes on the opposite side and push

  • If you're unsure of what length you need, stack magnets near the reed switch until the door is detected as closed. Remove the magnet stack, measure, and choose the closest sized extender. Meross recommends a 1"/25mm gap between the magnet and reed switch, although this is with the stock setup, so you may need to experiment
