Lynx air system and draw length in a more compact package. Prints tolerances are intentionally tight. Requires a good printer, dry filament, and may require some sanding to adjust fit for user preference. All prints were done in TPU or PETG, so YMMV if using PLA or other filaments.
I offer no support for this unless I know you IRL/have interacted with you online. It works on my machine, but may not work on yours. Feel free to DM, but slow to respond.
What's special about this remix?
Has all of the improvements of the Nutty minx plus:
Extended Mag release that prevents it from escaping magwell during dry fires
Extended Magwell Nub to improve mag catching
Magwell and Stock that locks together for less slop, more durability, and ease of maintenance
Lynx air system
Shorter pic rail for better optic height over bore
Weight optimizations
Added fillets to receiver for increased durability
Tightened Body bar slots for less slop
Added PTFE catch 1 for less trigger slop
What is the main hardware I need
Start with a minx hardware kit. Then do the following:
Swap the 5.5" Plunger tube for a 6.5" Plunger tube
Use the normal Minx body bars
Either cut down and re-drill the minx pump bars by printing and using the bars in the files as a template OR order from send cut send
Throw away the metal minx transfer bar
Either print the single piece transfer bar, print and glue to two piece transfer bar, or order the transfer bar from send cut send. I use a single piece transfer bar printed in ABS and have not had any durability issues
Additional hardware needed
1 x m3 x 50 bolt --- Reinforces pump
1 x m5 x 30 button head bolt --- M5 tensioner screw (hex bolt hole should be m4 sized, not m5 sized)
1 x m5 nut --- M5 tensioner
1 x m5 nut --- M5 tensioner
1 x m4 mini hex key --- Storage grip (comes with most amazon optics)
1 x 1/4" SAE washer --- Storage grip
2 x 6mm x 3mm magnets --- Storage grip, optional but recommended
FAQ
Is this compatible with lynx/random lynx remix/minx/etc.
Maybe, but there are some things I changed.
I already have a minx/lynx/etc, do I need to reprint it or can I re-use parts
Do a full reprint and save yourself the headache
Will you add a toolless tensioner?
No, the goal of hyperminx is to be as short as possible
Will you add an airbrake plunger head?
No, TPU better, airbrake for mouthbreathers
Will you release a Koda magwell?
N
Huge thank you to everyone who's input went into nutty minx, as well as Zafc for figuring out how to shorten things to fit a lynx into a minx
