š Mini Airless Basketball (Scale Model)
This is a 3D-printable mini scale model of the famous airless basketball! It features a beautiful, intricate lattice design that allows the ball to maintain its structure without needing any air.
It has been fully sliced and tested usingĀ Bambu StudioĀ for excellent results.

š Recommended Print Settings
To get the cleanest print and ensure the ball has perfect strength and elasticity, configure your tabs with these specific details:
1. Strength & Infill
Infill Density:Ā 100% (Crucial to make the thin lattice walls completely solid)
Infill Pattern:Ā Concentric
Top Shell Layers:Ā 6 layers (with Monotonic pattern)
Bottom Shell Layers:Ā 5 layers (with Monotonic pattern)

2. Print Speed
Outer Wall / Inner Wall Speed:Ā 40 mm/s
Sparse Infill / Internal Solid Infill Speed:Ā 40 mm/s
Top Surface Speed:Ā 40 mm/s
Tip:Ā Keeping the speeds synchronized at 40 mm/s ensures smooth extrusion, especially if you choose to print with flexible materials like TPU.

3. Supports & Bed Adhesion
Enable Support:Ā Checked (Tree manual)
Support Style:Ā Tree SlimĀ (This uses minimal material and easily detaches from the round curves of the ball)
Bed Adhesion Brim:Ā Set toĀ AutoĀ (Ensures the tree supports stay securely stuck to the plate during the 10-hour print)

4. Quality & Seams
Seam Position:Ā RandomĀ (This scatters the print seams randomly so you don't get a visible vertical scar down the face of your ball)
Scarf Seam Application:Ā Enabled (Helps blend the layer starts seamlessly)

š Print Stats
Print Time:Ā ~10 hours and 8 minutes
Filament Used:Ā ~54.75 grams (40.81g for the ball, 13.95g for the supports)
š” Post-Processing Tip
Once the print finishes, gently break away theĀ Tree SlimĀ supports from the base. Because the file has a high polygon count (over 1 million triangles), the circular lines are incredibly detailed and crisp. Happy printing!
