Update: The original model was too sharp for my ears so I reworked it - decided on two designs, V2 will work best for users who don't want to use foams, the V3 is designed for foam users.
These are my gateway into flathead earbuds, but I find their diameter a bit too small so they just fall out of my ears. I could use the included foams but they still fall out + they change the sound signature, so I had to create something that'd make them a bit more comfortable for me.
These rings fit perfectly onto my earbuds but in case you have issues, you could scale them down by 1-3% for them to sit even tighter. YMMV.
If you are using the rings without foams, you might feel like they're too sharp - if that's the case you could try lower layer height, and if that doesn't help they might require sanding them down a little.
I include:
- STL files for a variety of rings
- STEP files of the rings
- STEP file for the headphone model - for those that want to create custom rings or anything like that
- FCStd files for the whole projects - set up to allow easy thickness changes through a VarSet
Tutorial for changing the thickness of the ring in the FreeCAD project:
Select the VarSet in the tree view:

Open the "Property View":

Change the value of the "thickness" property:

Export the ring by selecting it in the tree view and opening "File > Export" (or pressing CTRL+E).
