SmartAlarm

A smart alarm that doesn't share your private data.

Features

  • Display the current time in 3min incrementations

  • Simple webinterface to control alarms

  • Displays the current weather if a location is set (pulls data from http://api.open-meteo.com/)

  • Doesn't transmit any data expect pulling weather from open-meteo when a location is set

What you need

The gitlab repo has links to components that were used

  • Some M3 screws (ideally something like M3x5, I used some screw nuts on longer screws to "shorten" them)

  • An ESP32 Dev Ki

  • 6x6x4,3mm Button

  • SPI SD Card module

  • MAX98357A amp for the speake

  • 3W 40mm speaker

  • 2,9" E-Ink display (Black, White, Red

  • 2x 1x15 pin headers so you don't solder the ESP directly to the PCB

You can use other parts but make sure that they work on the same TTL level as the ESP32 & verify that the mapping of the pins still work with the PCB, else you need to design a new one (current design works on 3.3V).

Also the design doesn't allow for much higher power demands since it uses the ESP32 for 3.3V power conversion. If you want to use a better speaker etc. you probably need to upgrade the power management.
