This is based on a commercial product I bought for typical 1.5" belts which I was able to reverse engineer.  The commercial product is a good one, but since I have the ability, I decided to create my own versions and share what I was able to come up with.

The concept is to allow a typical concealed carry holster to be removed from the belt (with the firearm still in the holster) and then slide the belt clip of the holster into this holder, which can be mounted in a variety of locations such as a vehicle, under a desk, a gun safe, etc.  The design also  allows for the handgun to be drawn from the holster while the holster is being held in place by the holder (assuming it is fastened well to the mounting surface) if needed.

It is a convenient way to remove a holster from your clothing and place it in a secure location until you need to wear it again.

For durability and appearance I used the following settings:

  • Walls: 4

  • Infill: 25%

  • Ironing all top surfaces

  • Support: 'Normal (auto)' - 'Snug' and 'Mouse Ears' (since it prints vertically and just in case)

  • Top and Bottom patterns: Rectilinear

  • Sparse Infill Pattern: Rectilinear

There are currently three versions of this holster holder:

This is designed for right-handed draw holsters and if the model is mirrored laterally it could work with left-hand draw style IWB holsters.

Use the holes to fasten the holder to a surface for a very secure mount and or double-sided tape.  I have had good luck using Heavy Duty Kelasy Nano Double Sided Tape and 3M Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty, but only after prepping the mounting surfaces for the tape.

Happy making!
