The battery pack is required for this design, as it helps hold the AiPi Lite securely in place. It works well for keeping the device in a more upright position, but you can also rotate it into a more laid-back angle for easier charging.
The hole in the model is included so you can add pennies, washers, nuts, or similar small weights to give the stand extra stability.
I recommend printing it in the orientation shown. Only the upper front edge should need supports. Avoid adding supports inside the model, as they would be difficult to remove.
