Elegoo Spool Adapter for Filament Refills

This extension builds directly onto my previous Spool/Refill/Leftover holder design, specifically targeting the reuse of empty plastic Elegoo spools. If you frequently use centerless filament refills, you know that keeping the coil perfectly stable during printing or manual winding is essential to prevent tangles. This adapter bridges that gap, allowing you to easily drop a refill onto an Elegoo roll with a much tighter, more secure fit.

By inserting this model, the spool seats much better on the support legs from the original project. This added stability minimizes lateral wobble and ensures smooth rotation when the printer is pulling filament. It effectively transforms a single-use plastic spool into a reliable, functional core for bulk or master-spool style refills.

Additionally, the kit includes a simple, dedicated winding plug. When you want to transfer a fresh refill bundle onto the Elegoo spool, this plug locks the assembly together securely. It locks the core in place, giving you a smooth, controlled setup to wind the filament over without the coil slipping or unravelling prematurely during the process.

It is a practical, quick print designed to reduce workshop waste and get more mileage out of empty spools you likely already have lying around.
