My shop is air conditioned, so I was lazy and used PLA. If yours is outside or your shop isn't conditioned, I would strongly recommend a more thermally stable material such as:

  • PETG

  • ABS

  • ASA

Print Settings

  • Infill: 20% (this is what  I tried. We'll see how it handles vibration).

  • Layer Height: 0.2mm

  • Supports:  Not a one

Back story

(or “the part the recipe sites always put first but should leave until the end”)

I previously through together a metal bracket for this. It was a crap design and led to all sorts of vibration and clanging. Boo.

I lived with this blight for a few years. Then I decided to move the compressor. While moving it, I realized I should probably perform this thing called “maintenance.” There was no way I was going to put the “bang-bracket-3000” back on there, so something better was needed.

Upon closer examination of the filter, I found that it had a rather slick mounting arrangement. Fortunately I was able to procure a CAD model for this filter / regulator series and used that instead of having to take a bunch of dodgy measurements.

Am I proud of the interlocking pin mechanism? Yes. Yes I am.

Did I assemble and reassemble this about a million times because I found the close fit so rewarding? Also yes.
