Timers are frequently needed in everyday life—whether for cooking, baking, or making tea. For instance, I needed a timer every day to prepare coffee; depending on the quantity, I required a timer set for 2, 3, 4, or 6 minutes. Unfortunately, a timer with these specific preset durations didn't exist yet, so I decided to develop one myself.

The cube features a display unit equipped with an ESP32, a 6-axis IMU, a beeper, and a rechargeable battery. The battery can be charged via the USB-C port located on the display unit.

The counter counts down depending on the cube's orientation.

When the cube is placed with the display facing down or on its back, all components enter deep-sleep mode to minimize battery consumption. As soon as the cube is moved again, the components wake up, and the timer resumes operation as before.

I printed the numbers using a single layer height and coated them with white UV resin, creating this unique design.
