All aboard! This model is another hand-crafted addition to my Slave To The Metal 90s Drawing Series/Collection, where I’m bringing the classic band typography from my original hand-drawn artwork straight to your 3D printer.
This plaque features the legendary, stylized typography of Ozzy Osbourne. Because of the beautifully interlocking letters and the way the text naturally weaves together, this model is offered strictly as a No-Base version. A solid backing plate just wouldn't look right here—this silhouette needs to stand on its own!
To make this piece truly dynamic, I designed it with a stepped, multi-layered depth profile:
The iconic gothic "O"s sit at a sleek 0.25” thickness.
The "SBOURNE" lettering rises to 0.375”.
The bold, central "ZZY" stands tallest at a heavy 0.5”.
This layered setup creates an awesome physical 3D perspective on your wall. Despite having no backplate, the overlapping geometry ensures it prints perfectly as a single, highly sturdy piece. It also features (2) integrated keyhole slots on the back so you can mount the standalone text completely flush against the wall.
At just under 8.0” wide, it is perfectly sized to fit standard and smaller 3D printer beds without needing to scale down the model.
