1. The Riser (The Base)

The base lowers the printer height to ~100mm and features four pass-thru holes in the rear right corner for PTFE tubes.

Available Riser Versions

Choose the version that fits your lighting needs:

  • 45° Riser: Outer edge angled at 45° to avoid supports; includes LED channel.

    • Found In Below Folder: "45_Degree_Outer_Edge_W_LED_Strip"

  • 45° Riser (No LED): Angled outer edge with no LED channel (saves filament).

    • Found In Below Folder: "45_Degree_Outer_Edge_No_LED_Strip"

  • 45° Riser (No LED & Slotted): Angled outer edge with no LED channel, featuring slots for acrylic glass or 3D printed panels.

    • Found In Below Folder: "Slotted_45_Degree_Outer_Edge_No_LED_Parts"

    • Accepts 1/8 inch Acrylic / Plexi Glass or 3D Printer Panels

      • Depth: 3.25mm or 1/8 inch

      • Width: 178mm

      • Height: 96mm (Note: Right Side Slotted is 83mm)

  • Original Riser: Square outer edge with a dedicated LED strip channel.

    • Found In Below Folder: "Original_Riser"

Riser Features (All Versions)

  • Pass-thru Holes: 4 holes in the rear right corner for PTFE tubes. Requires 8 x PC4-M10 Pneumatic Quick Connector Fittings (Amazon Link).

    • Also available is a PTFE Pass-Thru Rear Right Model for those who would like to replace the PTFE Tubes with longer ones opposed to using the PTFE Connectors.

      • Found In Below Folder: "Extra_Long_PTFE_Pass_Thru_Alternates"

  • LED Channel: (Original & 45°) Includes a 45° channel for an LED strip and wire. Suggested LED strip: Amazon Link.

⚠ Important Installation Notes:

  • The PTFE tubes from the print head to the corner connectors need to be cut to a target length of ~500mm. This shortens the run and prevents the tube from getting coiled into itself.

  • Ensure the connector holes on the corner part can clear a PTFE tube going through them so they meet end-to-end within the connectors. This ensures smooth filament pass-thru without snagging.

2. The Canvas Unit

This system relocates the canvas attachment to the center-side between filaments 1 & 4, utilizing a new dock and slider mechanism.

  • Canvas Dock Plate: Connects to the top center screw between filaments and attached to the Dock Anchor Part.

  • Canvas Slider Plate: Attaches to the back of the canvas unit to slide into the dock, making removal for troubleshooting much easier.

  • Cable Clip: An additional block that holds the canvas cable, preventing tangling with the spools.

    • Attaches to the top of the Spool Holder Bar using the top screw positioned behind Spool Number 4

3. The Right Side (The Update)

The right side is split into two distinct pieces to accommodate the canvas bracket screws and provide a better anchor for the dock.

  • Upper Right Side Panel: The top section.

  • Lower Right Side Part: Uses the screws from the canvas bracket to hold in place and has an extended piece acting as an anchor for the dock.

  • Modified Dock Part: Features an anchor on the back to attach to the Lower Right Side Part for added stability.

Installation Tip: Install the lower "Anchor" before installing the Dock. The dock uses the center screw between Filaments 1 & 4 to hold it in place along with the anchor part.

PTFE Tubing Configuration & Measurement Guide

Please measure first before attempting any cuts!

  • A. The Main Run (OEM Print Head):

    • Source: Original OEM PTFE tubing.

    • Target Length: ~500mm.

    • Measurement Point: From the farthest corner opposite of the PTFE connector (measure from the top of the hub to the end of the tube).

  • B. The Feed Lines (Canvas Unit):

    • Source: Purchase new or repurpose leftovers.

    • Target Length: 220mm.

    • Measurement Point: From the insertion point in the Canvas unit to the end of the tube.

  • C. Variables & Variability:

    • Port Dependency: Depending on which specific tube is routed and which port connection is utilized, effective length may vary slightly.

    • Tolerance: Aim for the target lengths above, allowing for a ±5mm variance based on port geometry.
