Like a rainbow in the dark! This model is part of my Slave To The Metal 90s Drawing Series /Collection, where I am systematically turning my original hand-drawn concept art of classic band logos into clean, printable display pieces.
This plaque captures the iconic, ornate gothic typography of Dio in sharp 3D detail. To preserve the intricate swirls and floating line elements of the original artwork while guaranteeing structural strength, this model features a contoured Base backing plate that ties all the intricate lettering together perfectly.
Equipped with (2) built-in keyhole slots on the back, this piece hangs completely flush against your wall using screws or nails. At roughly 8 inches wide, it’s an effortless, single-piece print for standard bed sizes.
Multi-Color Filament Swapping Tip:
To get that classic high-contrast look (as shown in the red and black render):
Slice the model flat on its back.
Print the base plate layer in a dark color (like Black or Charcoal).
Program a single filament swap right where the raised letters begin to switch to a vibrant accent color (like Red, Gold, or Silver)!
