This modular connector set transforms ordinary pool noodles into large, lightweight structures for play, sports and outdoor activities.
The threaded profile provides a secure friction fit while remaining easy to assemble and disassemble. All connectors are designed for easy, support-free 3D printing.
Print settings
Material: PETG (preferred over PLA for its flexibility and better resistance to sun and heat)
Walls: 4–5 perimeters plus solid top and bottom layers for a strong shell
Infill: 25% cubic for strong parts
Supports: none required
Choosing your files
Each connector comes in a few variants so you can pick what suits your printer and your use case:
Full versions print the complete connector.
Flat-bottom versions have one side cut off so the part sits directly on the build plate and prints cleanly without supports.
"With Fillets" versions have rounded, smoothed edges. Recommended if kids will be handling the parts, as they remove the sharper corners on the threads.
Mix and match freely, every combination works with the same noodles.
Please note: Designed for pool noodles with a 22 mm inner diameter. Let me know if you need other hole diameters.
