This modular floating pool tray is designed for carrying drinks, packaged snacks, sunscreen, and other lightweight accessories while relaxing in the pool.

The model consists of one main tray and four separately printed floats. Print four copies of the float model. Each float slides into an integrated rail on the underside of the tray. The two-floats-per-side arrangement distributes buoyancy evenly, helping the tray remain level and stable on the water.

The assembled prototype was tested in calm water with a centered 1.25 kg load. It remained afloat and stable, demonstrating at least 1.25 kg of tested static carrying capacity under these conditions. The test is documented in the uploaded photos.

Please note that this is a real-world static test result, not a certified maximum payload. Waves, off-center loads, print quality.

PRINT SETTINGS

Tray: 1 piece

Floats: 4 pieces

Material: PETG

Recommended infill: 4%  (The attached 3mf files contain the exact print settings used for the test model).

The prototype visible in the photos was printed entirely in PETG with 4% infill. Using low infill reduces the weight of the tray itself and leaves more buoyancy available for the payload. The tested prototype remained watertight and did not leak.

The floats are installed by sliding their mounting rails into the corresponding tracks underneath the tray.
