Standard Mega XL shells require sustained high pressure for the dart to exit the shell. Lower pressure blasters (like those I've made some adapters for to fire different ammo types) require 3 shots just to get the Mega XL dart to leave the shell.
This modified shell resolves this issue with a tight 1.5cm base for holding the dart and launching and a loose chamber with air slots so the dart flies unaffected by internal backdrafts while still retaining the overall silly shell shape.
A stump shell is provided for front mounted adapters like the wildstyle where a full shell is not required.
This shell allows a LP blaster like the Nerf Jolt with an adapter, to fire a full sized Mega XL dart about 10 - 20ft, slow enough that it does not whistle and with a large arch, but it does fire every time.
The large surface area and cushiony tip of the Mega XL dart and low speed means even point blank hits barely register as more than a tickle, great for playing indoor nerf tag with the kids.
Print at 5 walls and 100% infill; no need to print with different fill settings by height like other silly shells, the upper shell is thin so it makes no difference.
