Stacked openGrid Lite base plates. Plate sizes range from 4x4 to 9x9, and stack heights range from 2 to 9. The base plates were generated with the Perplexing Labs openGrid Generator and stacked using a custom Python script. Plates have been rotated face down to allow for stacked printing.
Note: This does NOT use multiple materials! Stack layers will need to be pried apart. Surface finish for all but the bottom layer (that touches the build plate) will NOT be smooth. See photos for example.
If you are using STLs instead of the provided 3MF files, you MUST configure the necessary print options for stacking to work:
no supports
enable ironing for all top surfaces
These additional options will improve the surface finish:
bridge flow ratio 1.4
overhang flow ratio 1.4
extra perimeters on overhangs
if (and ONLY IF) this option is NOT available, enable thick bridges
