This is a winter insulation plug for a 100mm double-glazed window vent.
You will need to cut an XPS foam plug that is 54mm thick and 99mm in diameter. You can layer thinner XPS foam sheets and glue them together. Make the diameter a bit wider and sand it down for a perfect fit. I used a hot wire foam cutter for this task. You will also need cyanoacrylate glue, a 20mm-wide ribbon for the handle, and a 4mm-wide plastic ribbon to put it all together.

This insulation was tested at -14°C (6.8°F). Thanks to its thickness, it should provide better insulation than the double-glazed window itself. Just ensure a tight fit.
