Parametric Cable Bone
A quick, simple, flat-printing wrap for managing excess cables and keeping cords neatly stored in your drawer or bag. Wrap the cord around the waist and wedge the ends into the side slits to lock it together.
The provided models work well with small cables, like charging cords for your phone, headphones, etc.
The included OpenSCAD file is fully parametric, allowing you to easily adjust the length, thickness, and slit width for any custom job—from thin USB cords to thick laptop power bricks.
Design Variations:
Solid Body: Prints faster, but uses slightly more filament (< 7g). Easy to print on all printers.
Hex Pattern: Uses less material for a lightweight frame (< 5g), but takes slightly longer to print due to the increased perimeter pathing. More likely to string for printers with a tendency to string. Dry filament is recommended.
Print Instructions:
Prints completely flat against the build plate.
No supports required.
