Years ago, I bought a DMT diamond whetstone to replace a worn out ceramic whetstone. Since then I’ve been happily using it for freehand sharpening of tools and knives.
It is hard to get consistent angles when freehand sharpening. So when I got a 3D printer, I thought it would be nice to make a sharpening guide. This guide is set up for a 25 degree angle. The original FreeCAD design is included in case you want to modify it.
Note: This guide is only designed for the DMT diamond whetstones that come in a plastic box, see the cover image. It will not work with the ones in wooden boxes.
