This chunky little armadillo is a print-in-place fidget with a body split into three parts, joined by two smooth fidget hinges. That gives it a proper satisfying wiggle side to side without any assembly at all; it comes off the plate ready to play with. It's a lovely desk companion for anyone who likes something to keep their hands busy, and it's a friendly first flexi print if you've not tried one before.
Print it in AMS multicolour for the two-tone look with a cream face and legs against a warm rusty body, or go single colour if you're not running a multicolour setup; it still looks great. No supports needed and it sits flat on the bed, so it's an easy one to queue up overnight. Works nicely as a shelf piece, a drawer fidget, or a small handmade gift for someone who likes a slightly odd little animal.
Filament Colour & Material
Plywood is ideal here as the hinges move freely and it holds the rounded shapes cleanly. For the AMS version, a rust or terracotta brown against cream or off-white creates that classic armadillo look with a nice contrast. Alternatively, a single warm burnt orange or sandy tan works well too, maintaining a nice readable shape.
