GALAXY (Level 4) is the fourth evolution of my mechanical motion series, expanding from the Solar System into a full multi‑ring cosmic mechanism.
This design features 36 evenly‑spaced asteroid gears, a precision‑cut internal gear ring, a central sun gear, and layered structural rings that create a smooth, hypnotic rotational motion.
The outer ring is not print‑in‑place. For best results, print it separately using efficient tree supports (PrusaSlicer: Support Style → Organic / Tree). This minimizes material use while keeping the ring clean and round.
Recommended print settings: – 0.2 mm layer height – 3–4 perimeters – 15–25% infill – Tree supports for the outer ring only – No supports needed for internal gears
