R36S Neutral Density Screen Filter
A simple neutral density (ND) filter holder for the R36S, designed to address PWM flicker by allowing the console to be used at 100% screen brightness while reducing the actual brightness with ND film.
Assembly
1 Print the holder.
2 Cut a piece of ND film to fit.
3 Super glue the film into the holder.
4 Let the glue cure fully before fitting it to the R36S.
Use whatever ND density you prefer depending on how much you want to reduce the screen brightness.
You can also make several holders with different ND densities for different lighting conditions.
A simple solution: 100% R36S brightness to address PWM flicker, with the ND film controlling the comfortable viewing brightness.
The .scad model is parameterized with current settings that fit. If adjustments are needed, play around with the dimensions.
