The good thing about standards is that there are so many to choose from. USB connectors are no exception, so I made a design for storing cables that includes tags for which connectors each cable has. Included in the design are:
Type-A <-> Type-B
Type-A <-> Mini-B
Type-A <-> Micro-B
Type-A <-> Type-C
Type-C <-> Type-C
Apple folks may also have Lightning cables lying around, so one design also includes:
Type-A <-> Lightning
Type-C <-> Lightning
I did not include superspeed connectors as they are uncommon.
The maximum cable thickness that will fit is 4 mm.
Recommended materials are PLA+, PETG, ASA, or ABS. PLA is likely too brittle. When printed upright with 0.20 mm layer thickness, one can switch color on the second-to-last layer to create text in a different color.
