My goal was to create an effect in the bokeh when shooting macros of bees or other insects. So I created this simple screw on filter for my camera. It works with all 77mm lenses. In the future I will add some more threading templates such as 95mm, 85mm or 67mm for my other cameras and lenses.
For printing: Simply use the function in the slicer to print only infill with 4 to 9 outer perimeters - depending on the choosen infill and lens mm size, with the uploaded gcodes i can use the filters on my sony's 24105G with aprox. 30mm without any black gradient in the corners. Select your infill of choice and print it out. I used cheap PLA+. If the Filter breaks I can easy print a new one in a few minutes.
OR you can stamp out any shape in the middle of the base object. Keep in mind, that the more you block the light, the darker the images will get. That is why i choose to print the cutout (infill) all over the place and not just in the middle. With different cutout sizes / infill sizes you can create different sized bokeh look shapes.
Feel free to create your own bokeh filter effekt cutout. and share your result images an ideas here 😃📷
