This is Perch, my simple workshop stool. Whether you're watching that first layer being put down or sitting at your workbench soldering something, this tool is there.
I usually dragged a computer chair around my workspace which was always a little tedious to do. I had some 1.25" wooden dowels left over from another project and decided I'd made a stool that would live by my bench and printer stand so I didn't have to drag my chair around.
The seat top is the most costly piece as I used almost 900 grams of filament and 20 hours to print it. It should be printed upside down and with 4-6 walls and 10-15% infill. You could probably get the weight down some more with modifiers in slicer but since my first print was satisfactory to me I didn't revise anything after that.
The bracing or runners for the legs can be printed as one piece at an angle so your layer lines still remain almost parallel to the top and bottom of the model for strength.
Besides that you will need 8 small wood screws I used 1/2" #8's and 1.250" wooden dowel enough to make 4 legs at your desired height. My legs were cut at 568mm or 22 3/8th inches each.
