3D MODEL DESCRIPTION
A simple calibration test designed for the FlashForge Creator 5 to check the positional alignment of all four print heads.
The model consists of matching/interlocking shapes that are printed using different toolheads. Each pair is assigned to two different heads (1–2, 1–3, 1–4, 2–3, 2–4, and 3–4).
When the toolheads are correctly aligned, the two parts of each test should fit together precisely, with the edges and curved sections matching perfectly.
Any visible offset between the two parts indicates a positional difference between the corresponding print heads in the X and/or Y axis.
What does it test?
The model allows you to quickly compare:
Toolhead 1 vs. Toolhead 2
Toolhead 1 vs. Toolhead 3
Toolhead 1 vs. Toolhead 4
Toolhead 2 vs. Toolhead 3
Toolhead 2 vs. Toolhead 4
Toolhead 3 vs. Toolhead 4
This makes it easier to identify which toolhead is responsible for misalignment in multi-material or multi-color prints.
3D PRINTING SETTINGS
Assign each numbered part to the corresponding toolhead in the slicer and print the complete test.
The entire test is only 0.4 mm thick, which corresponds to two standard 0.2 mm layers. This makes the test very quick to print and requires only a minimal amount of filament.
The model names indicate which toolhead should be used for printing: all parts whose names start with “1” should be printed with Toolhead 1, parts starting with “2” with Toolhead 2, and so on for Toolheads 3 and 4.
For best results, use different filament colors for each toolhead, as this makes even small X/Y offsets much easier to see.
The test is intended primarily as a diagnostic tool – it helps verify whether all four Creator 5 toolheads are printing in the same coordinate position.
