Pool Pump Threaded Cap – Ø62 mm Buttress Thread

Fits on Hidrax Pool Pump / Tube Threaded Cap

Replacement cap/flange designed for a Hidrax pool pump assembly or similar. The part was reverse-engineered from the original component and modeled in FreeCAD for FDM printing.

Thread specifications

• Thread type: Buttress (saw-tooth)

• External thread diameter: 62.0 mm

• Root diameter: 58.0 mm

• Radial thread depth: 2.0 mm

• Thread pitch: 2.5 mm

• Threaded length: 15 mm

• Number of turns: 6

• Inclined flank angle: approximately 51.34°

• Right-hand thread

Recommended print settings

• Material: PLA+ for testing / PETG recommended for final use

• Nozzle: 0.4 mm

• Layer height: 0.16 mm

• Walls: 5

• Infill: 40% Gyroid

• Outer wall speed: 25 mm/s

• Brim: 5 mm

• Supports: Not required

The model includes a real helical Buttress thread rather than a cosmetic thread.

Important: Pool pump components can vary between models and production years. Check the Ø62 mm diameter and 2.5 mm thread pitch against your original part before printing the complete model.

The model was created in FreeCAD 1.1.1 from measurements of the original component.
