I created this customizeable sliding mount to be able to store my Ender3V2 printer easily in the shelf when not in use. Without removing the spool holder on the side it would not fit. The side mount for the spool can now be detached by just moving it upwards.
The slide mount is very strong. I had to make it that big to adapt to the existing spool mount and screws. It could hold much more kg weight than needed here.
You can freely customize the sliding mount to your own needs. The lenghth, width and thickness of the sliding mount, as well as the position and size of the holes can be easily customized using OpenSCAD.
You have never customized a thing using OpenSCAD? Don't worry, I optimized this thing for easy customization. To do this, you need to:
Download "SlidingMountMHz_CustomizedSideSpool.scad" .
Download & install OpenSCAD from openscad.org - (size is just 50MB).
Follow the instructions of the last picture to generate your customized slide mount in your needed size and position of the holes including the .stl file
