The design works on the principle that air pressure prevents a liquid from flowing out of a container if it cannot fill the void it leaves. Think of plugging one end of a straw and the liquid not falling out of the other end. This works the same way except it has two containers. Assassins would pour a person a cup or two of normal wine, and then they would pour from the other chamber filled with poisoned wine, and they wouldn't be blamed because the person had already drunk other glasses of wine. It was also a way to get around poison testers. TO OPERATE - plug one hole at all times, or the liquids will mix; plug the hole you don't want to pour from; never switch holes while pouring, or you will mix the liquids. You must not tilt to far or gravity will overpower the air pressure and they will mix. When flow out slows don’t tilt more. Easy to learn with food dye as visual.
