The model will need to be scaled to fit your guitar. My neck is from a Monoprice Retro guitar and I scaled it to 95 mm x 16.55 mm x 0.20 mm to get the look I wanted.
I used PLA and printed it as a single 0.20 mm layer using an extrusion width of 0.67 mm.
To glue the logo to my guitar, I printed this model onto a bed that had been coated with a thick PVA glue stick layer and then used a small amount of water to re-wet the residual glue left on the back of the print. The clear coat was only a few weeks old and it may have bonded to the print as well. Either way it has stayed glued to my guitar for 15 months without issue.
This model is based on the Strato Font linked below. This is a font similar to the font used by Fender. The sketch created from the letters was modified so that it would print as one piece. If you try to create a model directly from the font the letters may not connect to each other or the connections will be too small to survive removal from the print bed.
