How It Works

  • Two identical curved placards sit close together.

  • One shape's short inner edge touches the other shape's long outer edge.

  • The brain compares the touching edges instead of the whole shape.

  • The short edge makes the neighboring long edge look extra big.

  • Swapping the positions reverses which shape looks larger.

Printing

  • I printed with a full infill with 2 different colors

  • If you have a Colored printer, Make the raised stars (0.2mm higher that top surface) white for added glamour.

  • I used Rapid PETG for added life, but almost any filament will work.

ONLY 7 MINUTES TO PRINT EACH (In a solid color ).

Age Range

  • Young enough to appreciate the illusion.

  • Old enough to be a grandpa.

Skill Level

  • If you can hold these two placards, your skilled enough to perform the illusion.

Enjoy!
