We built a fun area for our cats to play and hang out in. We bought these scratching posts from Amazon, but they were just a bit too short to fit correctly in between the shelves we had already installed. The next size up was too tall, so I made these things to fill the space. The hole in the middle loosely fits the M8 bolts that come with the scratching posts which are the TRIXIE brand on Amazon linked below. I had to buy longer bolts. The spacer is 25mm thick with a 77mm diameter, but can easily be resized for whatever you need it for. Good luck to anyone who finds this very simple model at all useful.
