7-Stage Axial Compressor (Fusion 360)

A fully modeled multi-stage axial compressor, designed from scratch in Fusion 360. Seven stages step the rotor radius down from 68 mm to 44 mm.

Update: all sizes are reduced to 0.35156 of the original scale (35.16%), a reduction of 64.84%.

Overview

The compressor is a pre-IVG stage plus six main stages, 169 blades in total. Stages are grouped by function: low pressure (LP), a transition stage (LP/HP), and high pressure (HP). Blade count rises toward the rear, and the last three HP stages share the same 44 mm radius.

Design Notes

  • Rising blade count: 14 up to 30 blades per stage mirrors the way real compressors use more, shorter blades as pressure rises.

Assembly

  1. Print all 7 rotor stages and the casing parts.

  2. Sand them to get the best finish

  3. It's not complete, so idk why you would want to print this

Files Included

  • STL for every stage

  • Fusion 360 source file (.f3d)
