MOLLE/PALS: ActionCam Holder

Enables you to attach a DJI Osmo Action or GoPro action-cam onto your backpack or vest.

You will need a M5 ×5mm heat set insert, ideally made out of stainless steel.

The ‘compact’ variants fit a DJI Osmo Action 4–5 without enclosure.

FDM Print Recommendations

• supports

  • normal, not the ‘tree’ supports

  • on build-plate only

• 0.4mm nozzle

• 5 or more walls until the bend of retainer legs is 100% legs
  wall generator ‘arachne’ will fill small gaps

• 25% infill or more

• The ideal material for this is: PA66, ASA, or Prografen PET-G Graphene Light

  • … else use something with a good layer adhesion (>24 MPa) and UV-resistance

• The ideal material for the heat set insert assembly aids is PC.

SLS/MJF Print Recommendations

SLS is fine, but if you’re not price-sensitive prefer MJF.
If in doubt go with PA11 instead of PA12: PA11 > PA12S > PA12

Though the upright variants (without any “_angleNN” in their name) look nice and technical, angle=80 is optimal for both, FDM and SLS, in terms of layer adhesion.
