Shut up and listen! Here is what you are going to do.
Go to Amazon and buy a Quansheng UV-K5.
Go to N6ARA Electronics buy:
Tiny Paddle N6ARA TinyPaddle – Plug – Assembled – N6ARA (you can also get as a kit if you prefer)
Tiny Filter TinyFilter – 2 Meter – N6ARA
Also get a decent 2m antenna like a Signal Stick or something from Smiley Antenna. Your choice to stay SMA or to get adapters and go BNC.
While all of that is on its way to your house, print this model. It acts to stabilize the Tiny Paddle and protect it and your port from lateral forces as you key.
When you get your radio, navigate over to NR7Y's GitHub. Figure out which UV-K5 version you have (v1 vs v3). Remove 2 resisters and add two wires. That should take 10 minutes, 20 if you take your time, Install NR7Y's firmware (make sure it's the version that matches your radio, v1 vs v3).

Install your filter, antenna, and paddle, and sling some 2m CW!
