In recent months, I've been bothered far more by sales people than I care to even count. I don't want a free roof or window inspection. I don't need another pest control company or lawn service. I simply don't want to be bothered.
I made this little 10cm X 10cm sign to place above the ringer for my doorbell. I attached it to the wall above my doorbell ringer with double sided tape. It's only been up for a few hours, but all has been quiet. Since literacy is a real problem in this country, I don't expect the sign to be foolproof. I hope that it will at least cut down the number of incursions...
I sliced the text and placard of the two piece version in Flashstudio and printed it on my Creator 5 Pro in black and green PETG.
I included a second version that will look nearly identical, but instead of using inlaid text, it's a one piece print with raised text that can either be paused for a filament swap on single filament machines, or printed in a light color so that a sharpie can be used to blacken the text.
If only my wife had approved the first version of the placard I designed which mentions we're running out of space to hide all the sales peoples bodies...
UPDATE 09252026: I printed the raised text version of this model so I could run a sharpie over it and add a photo, and while I was running the sharpie over the printed text, I became horrified when I noticed I spelled "interested" with two R's... Yes, after commenting on literacy being a problem... Both placards had the same problem since I used the same vector graphic for the text on both version... Oops! :) I corrected both versions and posted the corrected models. The photos reflect the corrected versions. My apologies for the goof...
