Remix of the excellent ASRock AMD BC-250 Shell Case by onemorecap:

What changed

The original middle shell was a very tight fit on my board, and getting everything together was a struggle. I modified it so it slides on more easily. Everything else follows the original design: M3 heated inserts, one central 120mm fan cooling both the board and the PSU, and a Mean Well LOP-300-12 PSU inside the shell. The finstack doesn't need any modification.

Full build guide (free, open source)

I maintain a complete BC-250 how-to on GitHub covering:

• Wiring the LOP-300-12 (replacing the factory pinout with a PCIe power connector and the IEC C14 mains input)

• Repasting and heatpad sizes (1.5mm VRM / 2mm memory)

• Flashing the unlocked BIOS without hardware tools, plus VRAM allocation for gaming

• Manjaro Linux setup, WiFi/Bluetooth adapters that work, sensors, fan/power governor

• Unlocking all 40 GPU CUs on Arch/Manjaro

• Gaming (Cyberpunk 2077 benchmarks) and local LLMs with llama.cpp on Vulkan

If it helps you, a ⭐ on the repo is much appreciated!

Required hardware (same as the original)

• Heated inserts M3x3x5 or M3x4x5 – 20 pcs

• M3x6 ISO 7380-1 – 16 pcs, M3x10 ISO 7380-1 – 7 pcs

• IEC C14 power socket – 1 pc

• Rubber feet 12x6mm – 4 pcs

• 120x120x25mm 4-pin PWM fan, high static pressure, 2000+ RPM recommended (e.g. Arctic P12 Max, Phanteks T30)

Printing

Same as the original: PETG or ABS recommended (PLA works with a good fan). Print the shells upright with the open side facing up, with inner and outer brims. Use supports (build plate only) for the handle and the rear shell.

⚠ This build involves mains voltage (110/230V) wiring. Only do it if you know how to work safely with it.
