Puky Rear Wheel Replacement and Upgrade
This model upgrades the rear wheels of a Puky tricycle by replacing the original wheels with printed rims, 6000-2RS ball bearings and soft TPU tires.
Material
4x Ball Bearings (10 × 26 × 8 mm, I used 6000-2RS)
Print Recommendations
Rims: ASA, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height, 3 perimeters, 12% gyroid infill
Tires: TPU 95A, 0.4 mm nozzle, 0.2 mm layer height, 6 perimeters, 30% gyroid infill
Assembly
Assembly is straightforward:
Press two bearings into each rim, one at the front and one at the back. You'll need to sand off the seam first, as the fit is quite tight.
Mount the rims on the Puky axle.
Push the retaining cap from the old wheels onto the axle to secure the new rims.
Stretch the tires over the rims. To keep it simple and make sure they don't slip off, I just glued them onto the rims.
