The 'floating' table illusion: two identical halves held apart only by five strings. Flat plates, no supports.
Print two plates and two arms; each arm plugs into its plate (0.2 mm fit)
The centre string holds the top up; four corner strings stop it tipping
106 mm tall, 90 × 70 mm top
You need fishing line or strong thread (about 1 m)
How it was checked
The two halves were intersected in CAD in the assembled position: no contact; arms and plates fit their slots with 0.2 mm.
Print settings
A1 mini, 0.20 mm, PLA, no supports: all four parts 1 h 10 min, 51 g. Tie the centre string first (about 16 mm free length), then the corners until the top is level.
Parametric source included (OpenSCAD or Python/build123d): change the values at the top of the file.
