This is a series of designs for making split ring chainmaille the old-school way, one ring at a time.

The set is designed to be printed at 6mm ring thickness and has Aspect Ratios (ratio of inner diameter divided by ring thickness) of 2.5-7.0 in 0.5 increments.

Highly recommended print settings:

PETG filament

Line Width:
First Layer: 0.55mm
Outer wall: 0.6mm
(These settings help the radius of the ring print successfully and get good adhesion between the first 2-3 layers)

Strength:
Wall loops: 2
Top shell layers: 2
Bottom Shell Layers: 2
Sparse Infill Density: 22% (seriously, this sets it to the perfect strength for easy opening while still bouncing back without cracking along the walls)
Sparse Infill Pattern: Grid (use something else if you want, but infill pattern will determine how it flexes)
Align Infill Direction to Model: true
(All of these settings were chosen to make it easier to bend the ring by hand while having max strength and rebound for the PETG. I tried more walls and they suck to bend by hand)

No need for supports. It'll be a little floppy on the underside of the split, but it's still perfectly functional because I designed it with a 0.2mm standoff from the bottom half. Just pop the ring open then push two of them together around the split lines.
