1x D2 Stainless Steel Dowel Pin 2x25 mm (DA002): https://store.bambulab.com/products/d2-stainless-steel-dowel-pin

Plus super glue, some thin foam and a hot air gun. The holes are designed for exactly these parts: 5.5 mm for the magnets, 2.0 mm for the dowel pin and 4.0 mm for the ball plunger.

Print settings

Printed in black GF ABS, 0.15 mm layer height, no supports. PLA works fine as well. The body is printed standing and is tall with a small footprint, so use glue stick on the plate and a brim of about 5 mm to keep it from tipping or warping. The lid is printed lying on its top side.

Design

Designed in Fusion 360, two printed parts: body and lid. The lid rotates on the dowel pin, the ball plunger holds it open. 12 magnets keep the lid closed and hold adapter and cable in their slots.

Assembly

Glue in the magnets with a small drop of super glue. Check the polarity before gluing! Tip for the deep slots: stick the magnet to a steel knife, put a drop of glue on it, push it into the hole and slide the knife off once the glue has set. Warm the holes for the dowel pin and the ball plunger carefully with a hot air gun and press both parts in, no glue needed. Glue some thin foam inside the lid so nothing rattles.

Files

Body as STL, lid as 3MF (single colour, without name lettering) and the complete Fusion 360 project, in case you want to adapt the case to your own presenter or accessories.
