I made textured nobs for the TH8S. I have a grip texture, so you have a better grip on the shifter nob. I also have a leather one to make it seem like a nice car shifter. I also have a wood texture mostly for wood looks.
I put a fin from printfins.com in you do not need supports. The hole is self-tapping your metal can dig into the hole.
Print tips, make wall loops be 8 thick so the thread as space to dig into it.
I have versions with fins.
