5 labeled crystal unit cell models - classic ionic salts and the three metal packing structures every materials science course covers.
Every atom is a sphere in standard CPK colors with its element symbol plus proton and neutron counts printed right ON the sphere (e.g. C P-6 N-6), and every bond is a separate stick. Built natively in TrueGeometry Playground - no booleans, overlapping shells only, so slicers merge the parts cleanly.
CUSTOMIZABLE: each model is generated from a Playground script with $ATOM (atom size), $BONDR (stick radius) and $BONDL (bond length) as Live Parameters - tick Auto-Run and drag the sliders to restyle the model before exporting your own STL. Full TrueGeometry Playground commands: in the blog article https://blog.truegeometry.com/0_0_0_0/blogs/post-0cce285f.html and the attached recipe files. Included models: NaCl (rock salt), CsCl, FCC copper, BCC iron, HCP magnesium.
Printing: these are display/education models - the atoms and sticks overlap by design (no unions), so slice with "merge overlapping volumes" / default settings. Small labels may need a 0.2 mm nozzle or scaling up for crisp text. Not yet test-printed by us - if you print one, please post a Make and help the community!
STL files are native Playground exports (no external mesh edits).
