The Mimic Candy Bowl (Interactive Kinetic & Gravity-Balanced)
From a 9-Year-Old's Imagination to 3D Reality! This unique Halloween candy bowl was born from a fun family collaboration: my 9-year-old son came up with the creepy concept, and I engineered his vision into a fully functional 3D reality!
Inspired by classic fantasy Mimics, this isn't just a static bowl — it’s an interactive kinetic design!
Key Features & Smart Engineering:
Gravity-Weighted Rotating Eyeball: The eyeball features a built-in internal counterweight. No electronics needed: as the bowl changes position, the eye smoothly rotates on its axis to always keep its eerie stare fixed on the viewer!
Dual-Position Gravity Balance: The bowl's center of gravity is intentionally offset, with the front section containing the 4 bottom teeth being heavier. When empty, it stays upright facing forward like a gaping monster maw.
Dynamic Transition: As soon as you fill it with candies, the shifted weight gently lowers it into the flat, standard bowl position.
