This model of the classic Dragon Scimitar from Old School RuneScape is meant to be fairly life size and game accurate while also being optimized for easy-ish 3D printing.
For the handle, I simply printed it on its side.
For the blade, I used my slicer's Cut tool to print pieces that fit on my bed plate- you could print one slice at a time on their sides, or print all the slices vertically with supports.
I found it helps to use the Cut tool's "Add Connectors" options and add dowel connectors or snap connectors, even just to guide the blade pieces together while I superglued them.
And then finally, the blade fits into the handle with a friction fit, but if you're going to walk around with it at the Ren Faire like I did then I would also recommend super gluing the blade into the handle just for good measure.
